The Mexican star has put pen to paper on a deal to sign with LAFC in 2018.
Real Sociedad confirmed yesterday Carlos Vela was leaving the club, and the player even posted a video confirming he was moving to the California side.
But given the league’s transfer policy, Vela was first signed to MLS and now has signed with the new expansion side, LAFC.
Vela will remain with the Spanish side until the winter transfer window. From then he will move to Los Angeles to prepare with his newly assembled team for the 2018 season.
The Mexican international is the first club’s signing and DP, meaning he will garner a hefty salary which is yet to be confirmed.
